The 3 Best 32-Inch TVs - Fall 2023 Reviews

Updated
Best 32-Inch TVs

Although not as popular in recent years, there's still some demand for 32-inch TVs for small rooms or kitchens. However, many popular manufacturers don't release models in this size, and they're becoming hard to find. Usually, the picture quality or overall performance is below average, as they tend to be cheaper models with lower resolutions. However, if you're just looking for the best 32-inch smart TV and don't care about the best picture quality, most TVs have built-in apps that make it easy to watch your favorite content.

We've bought and tested more than 400 TVs, and here are our recommendations for the best 32-inch TVs you can buy. Also, check out our picks for the best small TVs and the best budget TVs. While most 32-inch TVs are limited in picture quality and have low resolutions, you can also look for 32-inch monitors with better picture quality and a higher resolution, but they lack the processing that TVs have. Most brands have started releasing their 2023 lineups, so vote on which ones you want us to buy and test. To learn more about the 2023 models, check out our 2023 TV lineup page.

  1. Best 32-Inch TV

The best 32-inch 4k TV you can get is the Samsung QN32Q60CAFXZA, also known as the Q60C. It's one of the few 32-inch TVs with a 4k resolution and includes a number of smart features, making it the best 32-inch smart TV available in 4k. However, the 32-inch model has a reduced feature set compared to the 65-inch model we tested. Still, most of the core features are there. Although it's expensive for a small TV, it offers significantly better picture quality than other 32-inch models, and the combination of a small screen and high resolution results in an extremely sharp image.

It runs Samsung's 2023 Tizen OS interface, which is easy to use, quick, and has a great selection of streaming apps, helping make it the best 32-inch smart TV. It can even be wall-mounted, which is great if you want to tuck it into a corner of your kitchen or mount it on a swing arm. The Samsung Q60/Q60A QLED is still widely available and very similar to the Q60C, but it's a bit more expensive overall.

  2. Best Cheap 32-Inch TV

If you're looking for a cheap 32-inch TV and don't need anything special in terms of performance, check out the TCL 32S327. It's an ideal choice if you need a small TV and don't care as much about picture quality, as it doesn't look as good as the Samsung Q60C QLED. You have to ensure you get the 32S327 variant, which has a 1080p resolution like the 40-inch model we tested, as the other 32-inch variants have a lower 720p resolution. The higher resolution helps produce sharper images, but you'll still be satisfied with whichever variant you get.

It doesn't get bright enough to overcome glare, but that's normal for a cheap TV, and if you care about picture quality, it's better to stick with the Samsung model. Otherwise, the built-in Roku platform makes it easy to watch your favorite shows without a cable box or streaming stick. Still, the menus can feel sluggish due to its limited processing capabilities. Also, the remote has no built-in microphone, so there's only a voice assistant feature if you use the Roku companion app on your phone.

  3. Best 32-Inch Kitchen TV

The top two picks in this list are good if you like to watch TV head-on but not if you like to move around, as they have narrow viewing angles. If you want something for a kitchen or office with a wide viewing angle, the best 32-inch TV for this use that we've tested is the Samsung UN32N5300. It's a cheap 1080p TV, like the TCL 3 Series 2019, but with a different panel type. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as good in dark rooms due to its lower contrast, as blacks look gray. However, the main advantage of this TV is that its wide viewing angle ensures that the image is consistent from the sides, which is great if you watch TV from different areas in the kitchen.

It's a decent TV if you don't want to buy an external cable box or streaming device, as it comes with Tizen OS as its smart platform. It's user-friendly, and you can cast your phone to it to watch personalized content. However, the TV's remote doesn't have a microphone like some other Samsung models.

Notable Mentions

  • TCL 32S335: The TCL 3 Series 2020 is a newer version of the TCL 3 Series 2019. However, the 32-inch model is limited to a lower 720p resolution, so it isn't worth getting while the 2019 model is still available. See our review
  • Samsung QN32LS03BBFXZA: The Samsung The Frame 2022 QLED comes in a 32-inch size with a stylish design. However, the 32-inch model is limited to a 1080p resolution, so it doesn't perform like the larger sizes, and it costs more than the Samsung Q60C QLED, so it isn't worth getting. See our review

Our recommendation above is what we think is currently the best TVs available in a 32-inch size that are available to buy for most people. We factor in the price (a cheaper TV wins over a pricier one if the difference isn't worth it) and availability (no TVs that are difficult to find or almost out of stock everywhere).

If you would like to do the work of choosing yourself, here is the list of all our reviews of 32-inch TVs. Be careful not to get too caught up in the details. While no TV is perfect, most TVs are great enough to please almost everyone, and the differences are often not noticeable unless you really look for them, but it still may be difficult to find the best 32-inch TV for gaming as they don't usually have gaming features.
